ENGLISH ELECTRIC LIGHTNING

Derek Eynon formed the power trio English Electric Lightning initially in 2016, with guitarist Simon Peace and drummer Gary Burns.   Simon became unavailable and was replaced by Robby Monk, a slide guitar specialist and this line up (with guest drummer(s) performed  several times at the Needlemakers Arms in Studley.   

Robby then decamped to Spain and was briefly replaced by Bruce Dunn,  before Nigel J Dorman - a guitar teacher from Redditch - came in and this forms the duo today who  perform  with various guest drummers including Timbo Jones (Big Wolf Band),  Ray Horton (Legend),     Phil Minal,  Chris Jamieson, Gary Burns, Simon Picken, Ian Tandy, Lee Phillips, Josh Crivelli   and others. 

English Electric  Lightning have performed at :  The Northwick Arms Worcester, The Gunmakers Arms Birmingham,  The Ladybird Bromsgrove, The Hanbury Turn Hanbury, The Station Kings Heath,  The Sociable Beer Company Worcester,  Bromsgrove Sporting FC,  The Crab Mill Bromsgrove, The Dog and Pheasant Bromsgrove,  Fife Street Social Nuneaton,  The Hop Pole Bromsgrove, The Duck Inn Redditch

English Electric  Lightning play classic rock and blues  from artists such as Thin Lizzy,  Robin Trower,  AC/DC,  Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Walter Trout,  Joe Walsh, BB King, The Cult, The Doors, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Spirit, The Cult, ZZ Top, Chuck Berry, Bobby Troup, Neil Young, Jeff Healey,  Ben E. King, Thin Lizzy, Free, Status Quo, Lou Reed, Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix   etc .
